My name is Shipra, and I was born and raised in India. I have been teaching for the past 12 years and have been living in Dubai since 2014. Outside school, I love to read about historical events and geographical discoveries and am interested in photography and painting. I joined GEMS Founders School as a Teacher of Humanities and UAE Social Studies in August 2019 before being appointed as Head of the Department for Moral, Social and Cultural Studies in the same year. In my fourth year at GFS, continuing my work as Head of the Department and my passion for Model United Nations and Debate led me to enhance 21st Century skills in our learners; I was appointed MUN and Debate Coordinator. I can’t wait to get more and more GFS students to MUNs, Debate and World Scholars Cup, allowing them to compete and learn locally and internationally. I am proud and excited to be part of the GFS family.
