Since opening in 2016, GEMS Founders School – Dubai (GFS) has become a school of choice for families across Dubai. Located in Al Barsha South, GFS is an inclusive school committed to helping every child achieve their full potential. With more than 100 nationalities represented, we combine academic rigour, a rich range of opportunities and excellent value for money within a vibrant international community.
Rated ‘Very Good’ by the KHDA and ‘Outstanding’ across all BSO judgements, GFS delivers the National Curriculum for England from FS1 to Year 13, including iGCSE, A Level and BTEC pathways. Our extensive campus includes specialist learning spaces and extensive facilities for sport, play and enrichment. GFS students benefit from opportunities in leadership, enterprise, sport, the arts and global competitions, with GFS students achieving success locally and internationally, in competitions such as Model United Nations and F1 in Schools.
GFS is recognised as a British School Overseas by the UK Department for Education and is a member of the British Schools in the Middle East (BSME) and Council of British International Schools (COBIS). Our commitment to educational excellence and community wellbeing has been recognised through the Optimus Education Awards and multiple MENA School Excellence Awards, including School of the Year and Principal of the Year. In 2026, GFS was also recognised for its Staff Wellbeing, reflecting the school’s commitment to creating a positive, supportive and high-performing environment for everyone.
Our academic outcomes continue to demonstrate the strength of the Founders formula. In 2026, 69% of A Level entries achieved A–B grades, 52% of GCSE entries achieved A–B, and 42% of BTEC entries achieved Distinction or higher. GFS graduates progress to leading universities worldwide, securing prestigious offers and significant scholarship opportunities.
