Rachel Armitage

Hi, my name is Rachel Armitage and I am Head of Humanities for UKS2. I am originally from Durham in the North East of England and this is my second year teaching at GFS. I currently teach Year 5 but have a vast experience of teaching a range of year groups across the British Curriculum. I am really excited to be taking on the role of leading Creative Curriculum and ensuring our lessons are engaging, by incorporating a focus of active learning. I am passionate about creating an environment where children feel they belong, which will therefore help them to flourish independently, in order to be the best they can be. I truly believe that “education is the most powerful tool, which you can use to change the world.
