Luke Scott

Head of Air House

"Hello! My name is Luke Scott and this is my first year joining the GFS family. I am from a very southern town in West Sussex, England. I studied my BSc before acquiring my PGCE (with QTS) working in a school in Dorset, England. Teaching in the UAE was a huge goal of mine as I was keen to both work with individuals and teach children from all around the world. The thought of working with and learning from a range of cultures both excites and fascinates me. This year I am privileged to be a Year 5 classroom teacher and the Head of Air House. In both of these roles I am extremely passionate about helping develop and nourish a positive culture from a classroom and school level. Building a positive, trusting and fun environment in my classroom is key! I also believe the house system creates a sense of identity whilst scaffolding the ability for students to learn and practice key skills such as inclusivity, team working, gratitude and reverence amongst much more. On a personal level, I love to keep active, explore new places and meet new people. This year I look forward to embracing my role as a teacher and Head of House whilst being a positive role model for the learners here at GFS."
