Carla Douglas

Hello my name is Carla Douglas. I’m thrilled to be in my third year teaching at GFS. I originally come from Newcastle Upon Tyne (a city in the North East of England). For my undergraduate degree I studied BA Sports Development with Coaching at Northumbria University. I then completed my Primary Education with Physical Education specialism (with QTS).  After completing my teacher training year, I then completed an additional year in the UK as a teacher. In August 2020 I completed an exciting move to the UAE, and in the last 4 academic years I’ve been teaching in Year 6. This year I am privileged and excited to be continuing with the role of Head of Maths for Upper Key Stage 2. I am extremely passionate about developing Maths here at GFS and providing the children with the best possible education.
