Hello, my name is Chris Bennett, and I am the Assistant Headteacher for Digital Strategy, E-Learning and Artificial Intelligence at GEMS Founders School, Dubai. I am also proud to serve as a GEMS Curriculum Fellow.

Originally from Manchester, England, I studied Primary Education at the University of Sunderland, specialising in Mathematics. I began my career teaching in primary schools in England, working as both a class teacher and Head of Computing, before moving to Dubai and joining GEMS Founders in August 2020.

Since joining the school, I have held several leadership roles, including Deputy Head of Innovation and E-Learning and Advanced Skills Teacher for Lower Key Stage 2. These experiences have given me valuable insight into teaching, learning and the effective use of technology across the whole school.

In my current role, I lead the school’s digital strategy and support the purposeful use of e-learning and artificial intelligence to enhance education. As a GEMS Curriculum Fellow, I also contribute to the development and sharing of effective curriculum practice across the wider GEMS network.

I am passionate about empowering teachers and students to use technology confidently, creatively and responsibly. Through professional development, collaboration and innovation, I aim to ensure that digital tools have a meaningful and positive impact on learning.
