Toahera Fatima

Hi! My name is Toahera Fatima, I have been leading Mathematics curriculum since last year. This crucial role helps me in guiding and supporting my colleagues in delivering effective mathematical learning. I am responsible for curriculum development, instructional strategies and ensuring the overall success of mathematics teaching and learning. I did my PGCE in 2007 and have been teaching in UAE with the GEMS group of schools now for 15 years. I started with The Winchester School (Jebel Ali) and now it’s my seventh year in GEMS Founders School, Dubai. In addition, I also had an opportunity to work in the United Kingdom for 2 years during my stay there in London. I have been teaching professionally since 1998 so that would include some years in my home country as well.
I am originally from Pakistan but here in Dubai for over a decade and half. Moreover, my roots are from Bengal. I am bilingual and can speak fluently in English, Urdu, Bengali and to some extent Punjabi as well.
