Head of Student Welfare Key Stage 3

[email protected]

Hello, my name is Ms. Josie, and I am honored to serve as the Head of Student Welfare for Key Stage 3, as well as a Secondary Drama Teacher here at GFS. Originally from Essex, United Kingdom, my journey into education began after achieving a First-class Honours degree in Musical Theatre from Anglia Ruskin University.

Prior to joining GFS, I immersed myself in the vibrant world of drama and performing arts. I taught Dance and Drama at a prominent Drama and Theatre School, where I also had the opportunity to compete globally in Hip-hop dance competitions. My passion for teaching led me to pursue a PGCE and Qualified Teacher Qualification at Suffolk University, all while gaining valuable experience at an International School in Essex.

I am now in my fourth year of teaching, and this marks my second year at GFS Dubai. I am enthusiastic about bringing my experience and creativity to our vibrant school environment.

At GFS, I am dedicated to fostering a supportive environment where students can thrive academically and creatively. I believe in the transformative power of the arts, and I am committed to helping students discover their unique talents and passions. Beyond the classroom, I enjoy exploring new theatrical productions, staying active in the performing arts community, and supporting our students in their extracurricular pursuits.

I am excited to be part of the GFS community and look forward to empowering our students to reach their full potential both on stage and in their personal growth.
