Hello, I’m Jade, a Psychology teacher and Assistant Head Teacher at GEMS Founders School, with a focus on innovation and teaching and learning. Originally from Wigan in the Northwest of England, I attended a local Catholic school before earning a First-Class degree from Liverpool Hope University and completing my PGCE through a School Direct programme.

I joined GFS in 2021 and was appointed Head of Innovation the following year. In this role, my mission is to prepare students for a rapidly evolving world by encouraging both staff and learners to embrace change, take risks, and nurture creativity within the classroom. By fostering a culture of innovation, I aim to inspire students to think differently and develop meaningful solutions to the challenges of today and tomorrow.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is planning and participating in our Enrichment Days, which provide students with valuable opportunities to build essential life skills such as teamwork and leadership. I have also enjoyed planning and organising the Adam Burfield Enterprise Award, an exciting competition that connects students with real companies, allowing them to showcase their entrepreneurial thinking and creativity.

I am passionate about continuing to drive innovation at GFS and look forward to introducing even more forward-thinking initiatives in the future.
