Ultan McCrossan

My name is Ultan McCrossan and I am the Head of Year 11 here at GEMS Founders School. I have worked within the Secondary Social Sciences team since 2020 as a Business and Accounting teacher. This will be my third year as a head of year and am very excited to be taking on a new year group this year. 

I am originally from London, England, but grew up in Ireland and have a degree and Master’s degree in Business Information Systems from University College Cork, Ireland. I received my PGCE from Newcastle University, UK.

I have always enjoyed travelling and experiencing new countries and cultures which is one of the main reasons I decided to move to Dubai, having previously lived in Canada and South Korea. I am a keen runner and regularly compete in 10km and half marathon races. I am passionate about teaching and look forward to continuing to help our learners grow, flourish and succeed.
