Alisha Gentles

Hello and a very warm welcome!

My name is Alisha Gentles, and I am thrilled to welcome you to our Founders Family here in FS1 at GEMS Founders School. Originally from Scotland in the United Kingdom, I hold a First Class Honours degree in Primary Education, with a specialism in Health and Wellbeing.

I joined GFS in 2021 as an FS1 teacher, and I feel incredibly lucky to be leading our nurturing and passionate FS1 team. Early Years education is my true calling. I believe wholeheartedly in the power of play, and in creating a learning environment where children feel safe, curious, and confident to explore the world around them. Every child deserves to be listened to, valued, and supported as they take their very first steps on their school journey — and I am here to support your little one, and your family, every step of the way.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy travelling, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. In the cooler months, you’ll often find me relaxing on Dubai’s beautiful beaches. I’m also a very proud auntie to my wonderful niece and nephew, Joshua and Hope.

We are so excited to welcome your little one to FS1 — it’s going to be a fantastic year of learning, growth, and joy.
