Advanced Skills Teacher Early Years Foundation Stage

[email protected]

Hello, I am Angelie, and I am proud to introduce myself as the EYFS Advanced Skills Teacher at GEMS Founders School. Originally from the Philippines, I began my journey in education with a Bachelor’s degree in Education and later completed my Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at Liverpool John Moores University in the United Kingdom. I also hold a Master of Arts in Education, specialising in Early Childhood Development, from the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA in the Philippines.

I joined GFS in 2016 as a Learning Support Assistant and have been fortunate to grow within the school over the years. I’ve taken on roles such as FS Lead Practitioner, FS1 Assistant Head, and FS2 Head of Year. I’m now part of the Associate Senior Leadership Team, supporting teaching and learning across EYFS and helping to drive high-quality practice and consistency across the phase.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies, and exploring the outdoors, especially water-based activities.

I am passionate about creating purposeful, engaging, and inclusive learning environments where children feel valued and inspired. My approach is rooted in a strong understanding of how young children learn best—through play, exploration, and meaningful interactions. I also work closely with teachers and support staff to raise standards in teaching and learning through collaboration, coaching, and continuous reflection.

I’m incredibly proud to be part of the GFS community and excited to continue supporting both staff and children in building strong foundations for lifelong learning.
