Sammy McVicar

"Hello, my name is Sammy Macvicar and I am the Head of Physics. I am from the UK and studied Physics and Sports science at the University of Loughborough. I then went to Nottingham University to train to teach. I have been teaching physics since 2014 and have experience teaching in the UK before I moved to Dubai in 2016. Prior to GFS, I worked in an all Emirati school for five years.

My other interests outside school include playing football, which I have done since I was around 5 years old. I have been lucky enough to compete at various levels and even got to represent Great Britain Students, where we managed to win a Silver Medal at the World University Games in Russia, in 2013. Alongside keeping myself active, I like to visit all of the amazing places to eat that Dubai has to offer!"
