Rachel Rooney

Hello, my name is Rachel Rooney and I am from Liverpool, which is a city in England, UK. For my undergraduate degree, I studied Physical Education and School Sport at Edgehill University. I then went on to complete my PGDE in Primary Education with a specialism in P.E. I have been teaching in the UAE for six years now and  I am really pleased to be leading on English (KS2) here at GFS. In 2020, we implemented a fantastic writing approach called ‘The Write Stuff’ and  I am extremely pleased with the progress observed so far. Our learning environments are now rich with vocabulary and full of inspired learners! I look forward to seeing what’s next for #TeamEnglish.
