Rachael Boyle

Hello everyone. My name is Rachael Boyle and I am the Head of Science for Lower Key Stage 2, here at GEMS Founders School.

I come from Scotland and I studied at the University of Aberdeen, where I gained my Masters Degree, before relocating to the UAE 11 years ago. I have loved the past 3 years teaching in LKS2 at GFS. The experience has enabled me to enhance my teaching skills, while allowing me to develop in my role as a Middle Leader. One of my favourite things about teaching is providing my pupils with the opportunity to investigate and discover their own learning. I am passionate about active learning and aim to incorporate this when planning and teaching lessons, to foster engagement and enthusiasm in learners. I am excited about further developing Science at GFS this year, and aim to provide all our learners with life-long skills to take with them beyond the realms of the classroom.
