Bethan Uden

Head of Inclusion

"Hello, my name is Bethan Uden and I am the Deputy Head of Inclusion (KS2 and KS3). Within my role, I am also Primary SENDCo: I oversee and support our fantastic Inclusion team as well as being the Flourish class teacher for Year 5 and 6. Our Inclusion team ensure that students with additional needs or who require academic support are given the best opportunities to be involved in all aspects of our school.

Originally from North Wales, I have a background in working with children and adolescents with a range of needs, such as severe childhood trauma, Autism, behavioural support and a range of physical needs or impairments. While at University, I studied Psychology and later completed a PGCE in Primary Education. Following my time at university, I also became a qualified Equine Assisted Facilitator and have a great deal of experience training and using animals (dogs and horses) in a therapeutic or academic support sessions alongside clinical therapists and speech and language therapists.

Outside of school, I adore cooking, exploring new cuisines, learning about new cultures and visiting new countries. In my opinion there is nothing more relaxing than becoming engrossed in a good book and this is something I greatly enjoy sharing with my class."
