Rebecca Day

"I have worked within the Secondary Mathematics team since 2019 at GFS alongside some fantastic colleagues and inspiring young people. I have lead within the Mathematics department at GFS and this year I continue to work within the KS3 Pastoral Team. As Head of Year 8, I am extremely passionate about the wellbeing, progress and happiness of our students. I have worked with the students since they joined in Year 7, and enjoyed meeting our joining students and families along the way. Each student has shown maturity, progress and incredible talent within this time and I am proud to work alongside them every day. I am originally from Lancashire in the UK, qualifying with a First Class Mathematics Degree and teaching within a range of schools throughout. I moved to Dubai with my husband in 2019 and we look forward to what the future brings here. I believe in creating a supportive, positive and respectful environment where students feel safe, challenged and happy. I look forward to continuing in these roles as our school expands and succeeds."
