"Nick Loblack is currently in a dual role as both Head of Student Welfare KS3 and the Deputy Head of the Social Sciences department and teaches Sociology and Psychology at key stage 4 and 5. He is in his third year teaching at GEMS Founders, having arrived in Dubai in August 2020 from the UK. Having complete A-levels in Sociology, Psychology and History, he attended the University of Essex where he was awarded a 2:1 Hons Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Criminology. Nick the enrolled on a Secondary Social Science PGCE course at the Institute of Education in London and began his first teaching post in 2013 as Head of Sociology at a secondary school in London. In the years to follow Nick would become Head of Social Sciences and then Assistant Principal before making the decision to move to Dubai. Nick has had success in his school prior to Dubai an hopes to continue that here at GFS where he will contribute to the school community to ensure our students Grow, Flourish and Succeed. Nick completed his NPQSL in 2022 and also training in Mental Health First Aid. Aside of education the next generation Nick is a keen sportsman, and can often be found chasing a football, snowboarding down or cycling up a mountain, but is looking forward to trying his hand at new things whilst in Dubai and has his eyes set on a possible sky dive."
