Marie Terri Casey

"My name is Terri Casey and I am the Head of the Secondary Social Science department. I am also a teacher of Psychology and the Head of Psychology at GEMS Founders School, but I have experience of teaching many other subjects such as Sociology, Health and Social Care and Child development.  I love teaching psychology and find learning about human and animal behaviour interesting and engaging.  I am originally from Ireland and taught in my hometown of Derry for 13 years. In 2018 I took a break from teaching and lived in Delhi, India for one year. I spent time volunteering with the street children, teaching English as a foreign language. This was a fantastic experience but I missed school teaching greatly. I love travelling and was not ready to return to Ireland, so I made the decision to move to Dubai. A decision I am glad I made. I love teaching the learners in GFS and supporting them in reaching their goals in the future.

Outside of school I enjoy going to the gym, practicing yoga and meditation, as well as listening to podcasts and reading. My favourite author is Eckart Tolle."
