Arun Matthew
Head of Inclusion Secondary
I am Arun Mathew, and I am presently fulfilling the role of Head of Inclusion - Secondary at GFS. I began my journey with the school in 2017 as an inclusion teacher, and since then, I have been dedicated to supporting our students across both primary and secondary levels.
With a Master's degree in Disability Studies and nine years of experience in the field of Inclusion, I have honed my expertise in working with students of determination. I have actively collaborated with various stakeholders to ensure early identification and intervention for these students, aiming to empower them and foster their independence in accessing and achieving their academic goals.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working as a form tutor and teaching Mathematics and English to students in both primary and secondary settings. As the Head of Inclusion - Secondary, I also take on the responsibility of teaching Year 10 and Year 11 students, preparing them for the IGCSE examinations.
My passion lies in working with students of determination, providing them with the best possible support to help them thrive and reach their full potential. I firmly believe in prioritizing inclusion as a fundamental value and catalyst for every student's holistic development. In our inclusive school, where we celebrate the diversity of over 100 nationalities, our shared vision is to inspire creative, mindful learners who embrace diversity, support one another, and strive for success.
I am committed to creating an inclusive environment where all students feel valued, respected, and empowered to succeed. By fostering a sense of belonging and providing tailored support, I aim to enable each student to flourish academically and holistically.
